This movie was released in 2003. Even though the movie was not a successful venture from the director vinayan still qualifies for our 8th position. Film features dileep in the lead role.

Critically acclaimed performance from mammootty claimed this movie the 7th position in our list.This movie features mammootty in dual role and is directed by vinayan.



6.Mission 90 days.



A controversial hit from mammootty - major ravi team . This movie offered a great cast and performace but the storyline was weak but bitterly a true version.

One of the best performance from Prithviraj and a come back for Major ravi.This movie is successfully running in the theaters.A well written movie and deserves appreciation.


4.Sainyam.



This film features stunning performances from Mammootty, Dileep and vikram.The film was released in 1994 directed by shaji kailas and scripted by S N Swamy.


3.Kurukshetra.



 The film is based on Kargil conflict (1999) between India and Pakistan. The political situation of the conflict is portrayed from an Indian perspective throughout the film.The film brought tears in our eyes and made us realize the importance of our military officers.

2.Keerthichakra.



The directorial debut of Major ravi featured Mohanlal as major mahadevan.The film is based on true events related to insurgency in the Indian controlled region of Kashmir. The political situation of the conflict is portrayed from an Indian perspective in the film.

1.Kalapani.



At no 1 position we have indian epic from Priyadarshan - Mohanlal team Kalapani.The film is about the lives of prisoners in British India who are brought to Kālā Pānī, the Cellular Jail in Port BlairAndaman and Nicobar Islands. The film won three National Film Awards including the awards for Best Art Direction (Sabu Cyril), Best Special Effects (S. T. Venky) and Best Cinematography (Santosh Sivan). Along with that it won six Kerala State Film Awards. It was released in 450 theaters worldwide.
